Im 13 and need money.I would love to work with horses if possible, but Ill do anything. What should I do?

As you know, a lot of people like to work with horses so a lot of stables get free help. Also some may feel that you're too young to hire to even clean out stalls. But maybe something specialized like mane braiding? People will pay a lot for it, if you don't mind getting up early to do so before a show. You'll need to get some experience in diffent type of braids (volunteer with local owners?) and pick up a few supplies at the store. Or if you're good at riding maybe as an instructor (although people may feel you're too young for that but maybe in a few years)

I've sort of assumed since you like working with horses that you've done so before but if you haven't you may want to consider other ways to make money. Since you probably don't have a job permit yet (it's age 14 in my area) you may have to work odd jobs like babysitting, yard work, cleaning, delivering papers, etc. Your school may have some job postings. And ask your parents friends (not strangers!) if they have any odd jobs that they can pay you for. Good luck!Im 13 and need money.I would love to work with horses if possible, but Ill do anything. If you're specifically looking to work with horses you need to talk to someone at a riding range or maybe a farmer.

But if you want to look for jobs just to make some money, then tell your neighbors you're looking for a job and would be willing to help them out with odd jobs like babysitting, dog-walking, pet-sitting, car wash, raking leaves, shoveling snow, etc.

Research! If you love horses, that is a good place to start. Any stables that may need cleaners in your area?

Paper routes are another option

Ask your neighbours if they need any cleaning, lawn mowing, dog walking, painting done, etc.

You could make out a flyer advertising your ability to do odd jobs. Ensure that a parent or responsible adult is involved as a safety precaution to protect you from weirdo's. Ask your neighbours to hand out the flyers to any of their friends that may need casual labour.

Again, make sure that an adult is helping with this!

Good luck! I have found that kids that show personal creativity in their job searches, usually get hired.
The local stable may let you ride horses in exchange for cleaning them out and helping to groom them.

You will find out if you ask.
