At first I thought, ';Alaska? ALASKA?? Well, still, she's the governor. She's got executive experience.'; And then I see that she's only been governor two years. Before that, she was mayor of a town of LESS THAN 10, 000!!!
Aside from being merely a ploy to garner the votes of all the disaffected women who wanted Hillary to be the Democratic nominee, this choice is ridiculously irresponsible, in my opinion. She's never had to endure a truly intensive political campaign. What skeletons hide in her closets? We're about to find out! And the man who wants to be the OLDEST sitting president in our nation's history (with a history of cancer, I might add) wants to make this woman next in line to sit in the oval office?
Criminy!!! The woman's been in office in Alaska for two years! What's she going to do when Russia invades their next central European target? How is she prepared to deal with national economic policy when she's only dealt politically with one of the smallest economies of the fifty states? And being pro-life, is she actually going to get ANY of the angry Hillary supporters?
I'm neither Democrat nor Republican, but this vice-presidential choice seems to me to be a blunder that could realistically spell the crash-and-burn end of McCain's run for president.
It's almost as bad as Bush's nomination of Harriet Meyers for the Supreme Court.
